Technical description – Yamutec® 8-fold Ethernet hybrid module

The 8 channel Ethernet hybrid module has 8 optocouplers at the inputs and 8 relays at the outputs. The galvanic isolation optimally protects the control PC from overvoltages. It is also possible to connect the hybrid module to the network and the Internet via the 100/10 Mbit interface. This allows the states of the relays to be controlled and monitored with our Yamutec I/O Remote app.

The Optocoupler of the hybrid module capture a signal voltage of 3V to 30V AC/DC at a maximum input current of 10mA. The isolation voltage can be up to 2.5KV AC for 1 minute. The reed relays at the outputs work with a maximum switching current of 0.5A and a switching voltage of 30V AC/DC. The supply voltage is 7V to 24V DC via a pluggable screw terminal.

The optocouplers realize reliable and very fast acquisition of input signals. You can switch loads safely and cost-effectively using the 8 relays at the output. You also benefit from the timeout protection on the outputs, which switches the relays on or off immediately in the event of a fault.

When developing our hybrid modules, we paid attention to compliance with RoHS and EMC, so all of our modules are perfectly prepared for industrial use. In the robust aluminum housing, the electronics are very well protected from the harsh environment of a production hall and can also be easily mounted on a DIN rail.

Our hybrid modules were specifically designed for easy remote maintenance, control and monitoring. The module can be connected to the company network via the fast Ethernet connection and controlled via the Internet. To do this, simply use our included software to assign a port, the IP, a subnet mask and the gateway to the module. You can then control it via our Yamutec I/O Remote app and monitor the status of the outputs. Several 8-fold Ethernet hybrid modules can also be cascaded using the individual MAC address.
